It’s a real, working cattle and riding ranch tucked up against the Bighorn Mountains in Shell, Wyoming.

We’re not here to entertain you—we’re here to share something meaningful with people who appreciate it. We host only 25 guests a week, which means you’re never lost in a crowd. You’ll be matched with one appx. 100 carefully chosen horses, including Quarter Horses, Paints, and a growing herd of wild-born Mustangs. Every horse is known by name. Every ride is intentional. Our wranglers don’t wear name tags or put on scripted trail rides. They’re the real deal—skilled, patient, and passionate about the land, the horses, and your experience. Most ranches ride in circles. We don’t.

At The Hideout, we trailer out almost every day, launching into appx: 650,000 acres of varied terrain—private land, BLM, national forest, and high country that tops out near 11,000 feet. No two rides are the same. No two days repeat. What we offer is simple: real adventure, real horses, and a break from the noise. There are no crowds, no buses, and no schedules you have to follow.
